	Abstract: The main objective of the present Master Thesis Work is to explore what real linguistic immersion consists of and to analyse the possible benefits and difficulties that implementing this methodology in a Fourth Grade of Secondary Education classroom may imply. As it will be observed in the Theoretical Framework, the study will start from a general perspective with the aim of clarifying frequent terminological doubts and it will progressively advance towards the treatment of more specific aspects, referring to several authors and legislation in order to support and illustrate the different sections and to delimit the present object of study. After contextualising linguistic immersion through the Theoretical Framework, a didactic proposal which integrates different strategies, resources and activities that promote this methodology will be presented, maximising the application of cooperative learning as the conductive thread through the different sessions. Unfortunately, we do not have any data or feedback to enable us to evaluate the effectiveness of the current didactic proposal at the moment. Nevertheless, even if it may not be possible to apply it in its totality due the particular nature of each class, we hope that at least some of the activities and the suggested approach serve to inspire other teachers. Despite the direction marked by the prescriptive elements in the Official Curriculum, teachers will always have a wide range of possibilities to decide how to address the legal requirements in the most creative, attractive and fun possible way, presenting the subject as a dynamic and contextualised reality, increasing students´ protagonism and developing the different competences in a more meaningful way. ; El presente Trabajo de Fin de Máster tiene como principal objetivo explorar en qué consiste la auténtica inmersión lingüística y analizar los posibles beneficios y dificultades que puede suponer el implementar esta metodología en el aula de inglés con un curso de 4 ESO. Como se podrá observar en el Marco Teórico, el estudio comenzará desde una perspectiva general con el fin de clarificar dudas terminológicas frecuentes para ir progresivamente avanzando hacia el tratamiento de aspectos más concretos, haciendo referencia a una serie de autores y fuentes legislativas para apoyar e ilustrar los diferentes apartados y delimitar el presente objeto de estudio. Tras contextualizar la inmersión lingüística a través del Marco Teórico, se presentará una propuesta didáctica que integre diferentes estrategias, recursos y actividades que fomenten esta metodología, maximizando para ello la aplicación del aprendizaje cooperativo como hilo conductor de las diferentes sesiones. Desafortunadamente en este momento no contamos con datos y opiniones que puedan evaluar de forma concreta la efectividad de la presente propuesta didáctica. No obstante, aunque quizás no sea posible aplicarla en su totalidad dada la particularidad de cada clase, esperamos que al menos algunas de las actividades y el enfoque sugerido sirvan de inspiración para otros docentes. A pesar de la dirección marcada por los elementos prescriptivos del Currículum Oficial, el docente siempre contará con un infinito abanico de posibilidades para decidir cómo cubrir los requerimientos legales de la forma más creativa, atractiva y lúdica posible para así presentar la asignatura como una realidad dinámica y contextualizada, aumentar la curiosidad y el protagonismo de los estudiantes y desarrollar de forma más significativa las diferentes competencias.
